Updating windows xp professional with sp1
Pro's: XP is universally loved by computer users everywhere, and anything that makes it a little more efficient and faster, is more than welcome as far as we’re concerned.
Con's: Many users have complained about complicated installation glitches when it comes to the XP Service Pack 3 and have warned that people should download with caution.
Windows XP SP3 will not significantly change the Windows XP experience. It is to computers what wheels are to cars, and because Windows XP Service Pack 3 is a cumulative update of all former XP service packs we thought it warranted our attention. This Windows XP Update works a lot faster than XP SP2, and that our friends, as you well know, is quite fast.
This update also includes a small number of new functionalities, which do not significantly change customers experience with the operating system.
In conclusion, the final version of Windows XP SP3 will potentially be available in the near future.
In the meantime, it will be interesting to read updated reports on the trial version currently available. Apart from any fair dealing for the purpose of private study or research, no part may be reproduced without the written permission.
Internet Explorer 7 is also not included in this package.
Conclusion: It does pretty much what is said on the tin and in our own humble experience, download and installation was pretty simple.
Microsoft states unequivocally that the service pack does not "significantly change customer´s experience with the operating system." For organizations and individuals, Window XP SP3 does include Network Access Protection, (NAP).
